		<description>Gambling on things such as slots and cards in casinos is fool hearty as those enterprises are set up to take money from you.   The "house" knows what it's profit will be and the odds are stacked against you. The only way you can win is with "luck." 

Horse betting, on the other hand, is entirely different. In parimutuel wagering, there is no "house" you are playing against.  In fact, the "house" (i.e., the track you are wagering on) wants you to win so that you'll come back and bet again. Win or lose they take the same 1/10 for each dollar wagered.   The beautiful thing about it is that rather than relying on luck, you can make an informed wager using your own intelligence.   Trust me on this, I've been gambling for supplemental income for years now - and rather succesfully I might add.</description>
